Is a Michigan-born writer/director living and working in Michigan and Los Angeles, known for Find Me Up North (2018), Camp Alec (2019 Kennedy + Marshal, Disney +), QUICKSAND (2023), and An Autumn Summer (2025). His work, even when comedic, is emotive, character driven, and crafted within beautifully built worlds and elevated filmic visuals. He’s well versed visual effects, both practical and digital, performance based and miniature. His feature directorial debut QUICKSAND boasts over 400 visual effects shots.

His backgrounds in construction and in traditional film photography shows itself in the grounded, practical feeling in his work. The commercial company he founded in 2009 is called PRACTICAL Studios, which has grown to be the largest commercial/narrative production studio in Northern Michigan and now operates in Los Angeles. PRACTICAL has been a Filmsupply Contributor since 2015, the premiere footage licensing firm globally that has provided his footage to projects for the Biden White House, Apple, Volvo, Sony, BMW, Facebook, Google, and more.
